- Utilizing Advanced Technology: Support decisions on deploying drones, sensors, radar, and autonomous surveillance towers for enhanced detection and monitoring of border activity
- Infrastructure Investment: Guide investments in new technology and infrastructure to create a safer, more secure, and efficient border environment
- Adoption of Innovative Technologies: Research and evaluate state-of-the-art technologies for specific mission areas, such as countering adversary drone activity
- Systems Engineering: Employ rigorous processes and analytical tools that link mission capability gaps with solution architectures, acquisition strategies and budgetary planning
- Strategic Dashboards and Visualizations: Develop data visualization dashboards to enhance data-driven decision-making with integrated AI and model-based algorithms that highlight key performance indicators
- Inter-agency Collaboration: Serve as a catalyst for information sharing and partnerships between federal agencies involved in border security including DHS components, the Department of Defense (DoD), and the Intelligence Community
- Engagement with External Stakeholders: Develop/implement strategies to improve communication and foster relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including non-governmental organizations, academia, and the commercial industry
